The availability and  increasing costs   of  human  labour needs to look  more close to the mechanical harvesting.

Nevertheless, behind the success also there are restlessness. Because it is a culture of high demand of human  labour. The recovery of the Chilean Economy has been translated in the creation of a greater amount of jobs better payed but no on the agricultural side , with the growing per capita incomes increasing consequences. Thus, for the next years a greater shortage of the agricultural human labour is predicted. Therefore, it is required to find or to adopt new and different ways to maintain the business competitive ,  for example mechanical harvesting.

“Many of the Chilean blueberry farmers    are forced, depending on the zone, to cultivate all the range of varieties.
Near of 70% blueberry production costs  are  human  labour,  there is  the importance to  looks  more profitable blueberries harvesting chances . An estate of around 40 hectares (108 acres)  can be handled by approximately 10 people, but  in the pick of production it is needed to contract more than 10 people per acre .
